Turkey day weekend

Well, since all our family is in ARIZONA :( we decided to do something a little different this thanksgiving.

First we went to the thanksgiving day parade down town thanks to my boss who gave us VIP tickets... which was very cool. We had TV section tickets, and got to be in the whole hubub of the thanksgiving parade.

Then we took a trip north to Milwaukee Wisconsin.

We had a very Relaxing Thanksgiving weekend, just Craig, Roxy and I. We stayed in a hotel, went hot-tubbing (which in Chicago is a BIG DEAL), went on a hike, and ultimately just relaxed. It was a very fun and needed vacation!!

WELL!! Hope yall had a good turkey day!!

Till next time!!

Museums Museums

Over the Past Month, Chicago residence have had the privilege of going to the museums on our city for free on "free days". It has been fun to go and see all these fabulous places that our City has to offer. They were all very neat, and I am sure I did not get every thing out of them in my short visits. I am excited for next year when I can go for free again and see all the things I missed... Here is a small snap shot of the things I saw...

The Art Institute of Chicago

Lots of really neat art... It was a lot of fun for the aspiring artist in me... I have gone a few times... they have a free day every week, but there are SO many levels, and SO much art... they have a lot of really famous pieces too...

The Field Museum

Honestly, history is not my cup of tea, so it was a little boring... HOW EVER... they do have a real T Rex bones, which was cool to see, I have never seen that in person

The Shedd Aquarium

VERY VERY COOL... a zoo under water

The Planetarium

Also a very awesome museum, and also cool for kids... they have this whole kids area, that kids can pretend to be astronauts and go to space. I liked it a lot!

The Museum of Science and Industry

This was my favorite of all... they had SO MANY exhibits. VERY cool on weather, planes, cars, space... everything, they were SO neat. ALSO a very cool kids area that my nanny kids loved... if you have to pick a museum to go to... FOR sure pick this one!

Dinner and a Show

Well, Trying to get out of our box a little bit, we decided to go to a show...a play... it was a lot of fun. We started the evening with a DELICIOUS dinner at Fontana Italian restaurant, and then continued to the Biograph Theater for a show and had a delightful evening!

The Show was a very funny show about relationships, and it was at the Biograph Theater... FUN FACT... that is where John Dillinger was shot. Last summer I went to the restaurant in Wisconsin where his big shoot out was, and now I have been at the theater where he was shot... pretty neat!

Anniversary Dinner Cruise

We went on a dinner cruise for our anniversary. Basically, there these huge boats, and they are 3 hour cruises around Lake Michigan at sunset, and you get a 3 course meal. There is dancing, and an observation deck, and it was a lot of fun! Defiantly a night to remember! Since it was our anniversary, they put flower pettals on our table, gave us a window seat, and gave us a anniversary dessert (even though there was a chocolate fountain for all).... it was very yummy and very fun!
