B day Party Extravaganza

Well... Craig was once again a good hubby and threw me a Birthday party.... Potluck at our house followed by one of my favorites... KARAOKE in wrigleyville... A fun night was had by all... even though it took 2 hours for me and Whit to sing Ace of Base and then we left and no one else stuck around to sing since it was so late... all in all... it was a 8 on the Birthday scale!!

Birthday Date on the Town

Well, my Birthday is Wednesday... the BIG 25... and since Craig and I will be working then... We went out for my Birthday dinner tonight... We went to Star of Siam (my FAVORITE Thai Place), and then we headed down to Navy Peir. We mostly Just walked around the peir... But we also went on my favorite Swing Ride... you get to go really high up and see the whole Chicago Sky line.... all in all... it was a pretty fun Birthday Date.... 100% improvement from last year (dont ask :) )

This was our short cut to Navy Pier.... Under the City... there is a whole little under ground thing... its pretty neat... but it reminds me of all the Batman Movies and I would never want to be down there alone.

A Romp Through the Mud

WELL... as I have mentioned in past posts, just a few blocks away is our "dog park". Its actually a high school, and we let our dogs run around in the front lawn after school is out. Well last night they were watering some of the plants and it seems they forgot to turn off the water. One of the guys there said it had been on when he passed at 4, and we got there at 6. It was a mud pit! The dogs were just running through the sprinklers, and mud, and plants... it was a hugs muddy mess!! I didn't have my camera, but I stole this pictures from one of the other "mom's". This is one of Roxy's Best Friends, her name is Cashew.... You can IMAGINE the mess we had when we got home... But she had a blast while she was there!

A Crape a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

Time to introduce me and Craigs FAVORITE find.... It is a Crape Place!!! Its an Algerian place called Icosium Cafe and all they serve is Crapes... Breakfast Crapes, Lunch Crapes, Dinner Crapes, and Our favorite, dessert Crapes... these Magnificent tiny pancakes can be filled with anything... they are so filling, and SO yummy!!! We love this place!!! (as you can tell by my posts... one of my favorite things about Chicago is the food... :) MY dad always said... the way to my heart... MY STOMACH!)

The Taste 2011

Well, since last year Craig has been begging me to take him to the Taste of Chicago. And to the Taste we went. It was a lot of fun.... like I have said in previous blogs, Craig and I like to try new places to eat... and this was like trying new places on steroids. Basically every year, venders from all over Chicago come to the center of Chicago and set up a tent. You buy Tickets, and can buy either a Taste, or a entree of their food... You get to try all kids of food from all over Chicago, and there are TONS of people all over. It was a lot of fun, and we got to try a lot of good food!!! Yay Taste!

A big lady and a little man

We had the pleasure of having a 3 day visit from my sister and the brad man. It was a very fun weekend where I was able to spend a lot of time catching up with my sister, and spoiling my nephew! :) after all, what are aunties for!!!

We had a lot of fun adventures, like going to the zoo, the beach (which Bradly loved, and just screamed with joy), we went to the park, went shopping for happy Bradly presents, we took naps, went out to eat, and played with a lot of trucks :) It was a very fun few days, and we were very sad to see them go! Only a few more months and there will be two little men in my sisters life, and I will get to spoil double time!! CANT WAIT!
